Foilcase — Support
Foilcase scans trading cards, prices them daily and tracks what your collection is worth. If something is not working, write to me directly — one person reads that inbox and it is me.
Email support support@treamz.meI usually reply within a couple of days. For a scanning problem, telling me the game, the card's collector number and your iPhone model saves a round trip — and a photo of the card helps more than anything else.
Scanning
A card was not recognized
Lay the card flat, fill the guide rectangle with it, and keep the printed collector number in frame — the scanner reads the artwork and that number together, and the number is what settles which printing you have. Strong glare on a foil is the usual culprit; tilting the card away from the light fixes most of it.
It still will not match
Use Browse and search by name or collector number instead, then add the card from there. Everything the scanner can add, search can add too. Very recently released sets may not be in the catalog yet — tell me which one and I will pull it in.
The same card was added twice
A card is only asked about once per session, but pointing the camera away and back counts as a new sighting. Tap the entry in the result strip to remove a copy.
Prices
Where the numbers come from
Prices are collected once a day from public marketplace data, and every figure in the app shows its source and the date it was taken. If a price is stale, the app says so rather than printing an old number as if it were current.
A price looks wrong
Card prices move, and a thin market can swing hard on a single sale. If a number looks wrong in a way that is not just the market moving, send me the card and what you expected.
The chart is empty
History starts the day recording started — nobody sells the past. A chart appears once there is more than one day of data for the cards you own.
Your collection
Where it is stored
On your device. There is no account and no server copy. The collection is kept as an append-only ledger, so an edit is never a silent overwrite.
What this means if you lose the phone
Stated plainly, because it matters: the collection lives in the app's own storage and is included in an encrypted iPhone or iCloud device backup, but there is no separate cloud sync yet. Restoring a backup to a new phone brings it back; a device lost without a backup does not. Sync and export are being worked on.
Subscription
What Pro includes
Unlimited scanning, daily prices, price history and the portfolio. Monthly and annual, each starting with a 14-day free trial.
Manage or cancel
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, not by me, so they are managed in
Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Cancelling there stops the renewal and keeps access until the end of the
period you already paid for. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial
ends to avoid being charged.
Restoring a purchase
Signed in with the same Apple Account, tap Restore on the subscription screen. If that does not bring it back, email me with the date of purchase and I will sort it out.
Refunds
Apple handles all refunds — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. I cannot issue them, but tell me what went wrong anyway so it gets fixed.
Something else
Feature requests, a game you want supported, a bug, or a card that keeps being read wrong — all of it is welcome at support@treamz.me.
